New high end products complete Spolek’s offering for the Wind Energy Market
22 March, 2009
Spolek and Amroy Oy (Finland) are pleased to announce completion of negotiations on formal cooperation to jointly market high performance systems for the wind energy market based on HYBTONITE dispersed carbon nanotubes.
“The use of HYBTONITE resins is already well established in the wind industry. Production will reach several thousands tonnes in 2009. We are now moving to the next phase of our marketing effort and are delighted to sign a formal cooperation agreement with Spolek. We need a strong partner and Spolek’s combination of long standing experience in composites, excellent R&D, low cost and unique environmentally friendly technology makes them an ideal partner for Amroy” says Kimmo Kaila Business Development Director at Amroy.
“CHS – HYBTONITE Resins complement perfectly our existing product offering for the wind energy industry. Their unique benefits include high electrical conductivity and improved composite long-term fatigue performance. Spolek offers a full range of resins and hardener systems for the wind energy market as well as adhesive paste and other ancillary materials,” says Vladislav Plocek Marketing Manager at Spolchemie.
“Spolek’s unique epichlorohydrin technology based on renewable raw materials rather than fossil fuels mean that Spolek’s epoxies are the most environmentally friendly in the world, having a higher renewable content than competitive resin. This technology also gives Spolek a long term sustainable cost advantage over other epoxy resins producers,” says Paul Yianni Resins Director at Spolchemie.
